Dan Demeritt has led the Maine Association of Health Plans since December of 2022. He has more than thirty years of experience working with Maine’s elected and policy leaders, guiding state institutions, and bringing people together to navigate complexity.

As MeAHP’s Executive Director, Dan helps coordinate communication, education, and advocacy among the many stakeholders working to improve outcomes and keep health care affordable and accessible for all Mainers. He also represents the health insurance industry on a number of Maine boards and advisory groups.
